I Need Some Space

Making space in your room

Disney rooms are good on space. The rooms may seem small to some but from my perspective they are a good size. Each room comes with standard closets and drawer space. One caveat-depending on your travel party and the items you bring, the space can fill up quickly. Here are couple of tricks to maximize the space.

Under the bed – the bed is elevated higher than a standard bed making it easy to store suitcases underneath. With the room having a king size bed imagine all that under the bed real estate.

Over the door shoe hanger – I must say this first DO NOT USE THE HOOKS that comes with it. If it scratches the door you will be charged for it. Instead use ribbons or get industrial strength magnetic hooks that can hold the weight. You then store all miscellaneous items that would normally clutter your surface spaces like toiletries, hair brushes, boxed candy, reusable cups-really anything that can fit into the pocket!

Suction cups with hooks – these can go right on your mirror. Makes it easy to hang your lanyards or necklaces you do not want to get tangled. Another option you can use is a suction cup with a pocket. It’s a good place to put your tickets for meet and greets or information for excursions or dining.

Multiport charger – no matter what cruise line we take, there always seems to be a shortage of outlets. In the past we would have packed a power strip but a lot of our electronics are powered by usb attachment. The one below is perfect to charge multiple gadgets for the next days use. If you have something that still requires an outlet this charger is an outlet and usb port.

Laundry bag – Think drawstring or pop up laundry basket. I do not like the mingling of clothes. Its easy to mix clean clothes with worn clothes without noticing. The drawstring bags make it easy to keep clothing contained and portable to transport to the laundry room to wash.
